Hi Peter. Its the Burns version with a couple of mods.
Mr Gibson of Burns (yes, really), was kind enough to send me a set of white switches and the plastic half-moon plate that sits behind the bridge, plus a couple of other bits and pieces. The switches that came with the guitar were originally black, so that was a big improvement.
You can't see the logo very well because there's a sixpence attached to the headstock with double sided tape that obscures it slightly. I really wish I could lose the Burns logo. Unfortunately its lacquered over which would make it a big job to fix.
You can buy better versions of the whammy bar from Ebay, so thats also on the list at some stage.
I also changed the puny little silver plastic volume and pot knobs that came with the guitar for beefier versions from a local electronics store. Better Red Special knobs are available from Ebay as well though.
This guitar together with my Red Special Digitech Pedal into my mid-60s Vox AC30 gets me very close to Brian's tone - sadly without his monumental skill and feel.
