needed: upright dbl bass

so... I have 9 acoustic guitars (my latest is a 1965 12-string, actually made by Japanese craftsmen?))

I have been trolling the sale sites for a double bass... but, alas, nothing second had available...

If there is anyone out there that has one gathering dust in a corner, I would be be excited about the prospect of curating it for you...

I just feel the need to understand one of these beauties... I am happy to negotiate a refundable deposit if you do not want to sell. I completely understand... I will never sell one of mine...

If you have one, or know someone that does, but does NOT want to sell... I would LOVE TO BORROW, if only for a few months... and if you need it for a gig I will return immediately...

I've seen very few (though got to play on two in 2017) - beastly things ? The Gear junkies seem to get one or two in a year, they had one recently, really can't recall if it's still there (I think not?)

Really challenging to play for me - aside from the fretless thing - it's the frustration of developing a set of muscles for playing it. Easy playing <> Dbl bass ?
