I can't believe I've only found this place now!
I've been playing classical guitar for a couple of years and started messing around on electric as well. Although I am now looking to dedicate some more time to it, it has been an on-and-off affair mostly :-[

Capetown must be a Haven for Guitarists. I wonder what the CTN JHB ratio is, 10.1
When I visited my brother in the UK, we visited Guildford to see Anderton's guitar shop and I noticed young guys walking around with guitars all over the place. I thought people take guitar seriously in the UK.
Guildford is where the ACM is situated, hence all the guitarists walking around. My boet actually went to ACM and studied under Eric Roche for the acoustic section and Guthrie Govan for techniques or something like that.
