10 Guitar Accessories You Should Own

The dude from Music is Win puts out some cool stuff. His tutorials on triads are especially useful (and practically required learning for any guitarist).

This time he's talking about his top 10 guitar gadgets you should get.

I dig the "Ibanez Multi-Tool" but I'm just confused by the "Goby Labs Case Freshener" thing! o.O

I'd love to hear from you guys about alternatives you're using locally and where you got 'em.

String wipes...errr no. A touch of rubbing aclohol works for me.
Pick grips...Yes! I was dropping picks due to fatigue during the gig. Especially those tiny jazz III things.
Ibby multi-tool. Yes, yes, yes. Great thing, used one. Super useful. They do stock locally.
Case freshener. No. Just no.
Ax handler. No. That's what couches are for.
Contact Cleaner. Yes! Not sure how this is a accessory though.
Guitar Polish & Conditioner. I've mixed results with various brands, prefer other options.
Microfibre cloth. Hell Yes!
Cables. Hmm, can't help but say he's sponsored by Hosa.
Capo : If you need one.

Other things :
PSU daisy chain for powering multiple pedals off one psu. You'd be surprised how many cheap psu's are just a case to hide this arrangement. (E.g. Power Bank).
Pick holder - That dorky spring loaded thing, I've got two stuck behind headstocks, I think they're great, likely I'm the only person!
Egg timer - great for time boxing 5-15 min sessions. A app would work too, but I like the timer.
A cordless drill (low voltage) with a string winder attachment. More useful than I could tell you!
A bottle of valve oil - A trick I got from Graham - this is great for lubricating open gear tuners, etc...Just a drop goes a long way and tends not to dry out or work itself into a paste.
Silicone spray/liquid - Amp looking crusty? Guitar case looking tired? This stuff is great for sprucing old vinyl up, I've had great results with the liquid.

V8 Egg timer - great for time boxing 5-15 min sessions. A app would work too, but I like the timer.

Yeah I find apps too "fiddly". You have to unlock your phone, find the app, start it, start the timer. A dedicated timer you just press "start". (I have an old digital one that keeps your old time limit in memory.)

I gotta say this one stood out to me as well. I've definitely had picks slip/drop while I'm playing and it's infuriating. You can't just stop and pick it up. At least not without screwing up your jam / song.

I like this idea for a "dedicated" studio or jam space. But it all really depends on your space. I have a pretty nice 5-guitar stand and it does its job. I just gotta place it a bit away from the wall or my bass' headstock takes an (unintended) beating.

It's not something I'd have a huge use for outside of a high energy gig - I could get through a double set at practice without needing it - but on the night of the gig(s) I'd have found it quite useful!
