Albion tct 100 questions

Just bought an Albion TCT 100 head and was wondering why 2 of the output tubes have a flat metal cover over them. Also wondering if I need to re-bias when changing tubes or just use a matched set.
Last question- can anyone tell me how to use the bias adjustment on the back of the amp- looks like 2 adjustable pots and 3 pins ( to plug something in?) Can't ask the company because apparently they are no longer in business.

Thanks for responding.
I bought this amp really cheap (70 percent off). When I asked why they were selling them so cheap, the salesman said the company went out of business and sold their remaining stock to dealers really cheap. I also emailed them with some technical questions several times and never got an answer from them. Their website is still up but I don't think anyone is running it anymore. It looks like Albion is no longer in business.

Thank you for the thread. I also browsed their web site and liked what I saw and got the Gas juices flowing again.
I own an Albion TCT50 head and an aftermarket 4X12 cab. IMO one of the best amps on the market. (Head on the block, waiting for the executioner) The cleans are superb, even at high volume.

Back to your question on the tubes and bias with new tubes...
If you are in the Cape, Carl Mars would prolly be the best person to contact and in Gauteng, JP le Roux.

Hope you get that amp fixed as it is an audio gem

I have a TCT35 head and their (is it?) GLS 212 cab. It's a really smashing amp. Whacks of headroom (as Stof mentioned). And, man. Is it looooouuuuuuuud. It does come with some sort of 1/3 attenuator switch though...

The only issues I've had is the handle broke, and I had to replace the speaker cable (but I do that with nearly all my amps). The bracket on one side perished and the screws came out of the cabinet.

But ja, must agree. Hang on to that one - it's a keeper.
