bassie sounding amp

i have a behringer lx112 amp , and it's sounding very bassie , it's open backed . how do i get rid of the bassieness (even i can create new words)

stupid question, but where is the bass eq setting currently? Are you playing in a small room?

What happens when you close the back ? (lie the amp on its back)

Keep it away from corners and move it a bit away from any walls behind it. If that's not enough, try different speakers. If that isn't enough it may need an electronics type person to mod the tone stack (change values of the capacitors and resistors in the tone control section).

bass is on 0 , mid at half and treble at half . tone stack can't be changed as it's intergrated with the onboard digital fx , basically midi controlled .

Will closing th back help at all ??

I'm no speaker design expert, but closing the back gives you a tighter bass. I think it's hit and miss whether it will cut or boost the bass. I think there is also a good chance of an amp overheating if it's designed as an open back and the back is closed off. At this point, I'd probably try plugging in a different speaker and see what kind of a difference you get.

Imho it's not; you get the TS parameters and frequency response of the unit in a known enclosure and the rest can be calculated.

But anyway, why don't you answer Karel's question? It's not too hard to put the thing on it's back?

Can't be that much of a problem with the guitar then, I'd spitball and say the mahogany tone plus passives buuutt...that probably isn't the problem.

If I were to just throw a solution out there...it would be to say rid yourself of everything Behringer...especially guitar/bass gear.

the room i am playing in , is rather small , and the amp is against to wall i'll move it away and see if it helps
