For sale: one Tokai SG and one of two Tokai LPs

Strange for sale post, so I'll explain.

I've been posting this on and off forever. Never really taken the plunge until I realised I won't get anywhere until I drop some baggage as it were, so here goes.

All of these are MIJ Tokais (Vintage Series):

Used-but-loved white SG88, comes with Tokai gigbag (that's how I got it). Incredible condition, bedroom studio use only.
Lovingly caressed LS95S (GoldTop wiff P90s), now the LS113S. Same as above, except comes with Tokai paisley case. (Pic to follow soon.)
Occasionally glanced at and then returned to case LC95 (now LC122) in Wine Red with gold hardware.

Here's the deal. I'm selling two, to purchase one replacement. Ideally I'd like to hang on to the GodTop, but I'll consider what happens as fate. Pics of the guitars and prices as follows:
SG88 - R8500 not neg
GoldTop - R13.5k ever so slightly neg
Custom - R15k neg

Shipping costs for buyer's expense. Speaking of, I would prefer dealing with someone up close to me - particularly as regards the SG - that gigbag is not going to survive shipping. But I have shipped to CT before in the same Tokai case, and all was grand.

Yeah, I'm with Robbie on this one. Serious drooling. That wine red LP is to die for, but alas, with Xmas around the corner it's a no can do now. Hope you get them sold Dom. Curious about what you wanna get in their place...

wern101 Hey Wern. Now that would be telling. But suffice to say I will still ‘end up’ with my GT (which I’ve decided not to sell) and my CE80T.

Two Tokais, a new sparkly, and a paring down. What more could a fella ask for?

Looks like the Universe has pointed out - pretty bluntly - that these are my guitars, and that I'd better get on and bloody play them rather than try to swap them out for cash or something new.

So get your hooks in now if you're intending to at all. But mostly, thanks for all the compliments on the gear

It’s an absolute pleasure. Speaking of, I’ve had such immense pleasure out of my SG and my Custom (when I do take it out of its case) - if it wasn’t for the fact that I’ve been seriously lusting after this next purchase for some time, they wouldn’t even be up.

GAS is real! Likely. someone will fall in love with it during a jam and make you a offer you can't refuse. I get more offers from jams than advertising! My fav four instruments are all lusted after by multiple peeps.

Sigh. I am sure the SG would be my style of guitar (shades of Boston and monster sustain) and it is a fair price, but I already have a two Humbuckerer-ed guitars, which I enjoy too much to swop (yet). There seems to be a message here - you are supposed not to have the PRS? Or, you will have a PRS, but will continue to experience pride of ownership and playing satisfaction with these guitars too. Or, maybe, later they soar in price to R100K each due to some small, presently not noticed or known, technical thing unique to only five Tokais ever built.

But enjoy them anyway.

modulator Yeh, well, in the meantime (and since forever), I am enjoying the Tokais, trust me. But I have my heart set on owning (re-owning, really) a PRS, since I've had two before. The Gold Top - think I mentioned - I've decided not to sell, I've made the mistake of selling one of these before (it was an Epi, but I just love the tone of those big, phat P-90s). And this is a level or several thousand above an Epi.

So you're probably right; hang on to these for now and save up until the cash is there for the PRS of mah dreams!
