These are good entries all-round with some awesome, professionally sounding tracks in the mix!

So... I got to the deadline day... the best I had done was listen to a couple 12 bar blues backtracks on YouTube and jammed along halfheartedly...
It was 19:19... I had until 23:59:59 to come up with something...Stoffel was gonna kick my butt if I didn't submit something. lol. (Thanks for the motivation).
I opened reaper... Jammed a 12 bar blues rhythm track. Started riffing over it whilst humming.
21:30 I had some basic lyrics and some sort of structure down.
22:00 I had one verse pretty much how I'd like it.
22:30 Two verses down.
22:35 lemme put some sort of instrumental down
23:00 Instrumental ok enough
23:02 lemme add bass
23:20 lemme mix a little
23:45 sounds okish and will probably sound *COMPLETELY* different tomorrow (it does)
23:52 send email.
It starts off like some sort of beachboys on blue tik and migrates across to "if queen spent 12 days in a blues bar" for the instrumental at the end. lol.
Electric 1 and 2, bass and vocals through Line 6 POD HD 500x into reaper.
Could have done with some drums... maybe next time.

Glad i could motivate you Warren. ?
I was surprised and pleasantly so with your entry ito of just in time and your approach.

I don't even miss the drums. I was impressed with your entry before knowing it was done on such "short notice"... and only noticed the missing drums after reading your mention thereof. Plus, I specifically liked the U2 touch!

Great crop of entries gents - Stoked to see soo many entries with such a variety of feel's!
Have only had a briefest listen through all the tracks, but I'm looking forward to sitting down later this week and going though them all.

A big round of applause for all the blues cats! Thoroughly enjoyed listening to each contribution.
Tough choices, but I think I got the winners picked. ?

WOW! I think it is the first time that a noob entrant smoked the rest of the pack. Well done Robbie.
My own entry's performance was an unexpected surprise.
To all the participants a sizzling well done and on behalf of GFSA thank you to the listeners and the voters.
I will soon announce another competition which I believe will pique every ones interest and creativity

Nicely played Stoffeltoo and RobbieZ!

I've a confession to make...I didn't get to vote (I was 3 mins late) :-[
If anything that was a reflection on the entries, soo many to choose from...I had a chronic case of analysis paralysis!
Well done to Stoffeltoo (x2) and RobbieZ, both deserving winners.
Some comments...
RobbieZ (ft Stoffeltoo) : Solid as a rock rhythm guitar, a very undervalued skill for anyt guitarist. Hope we'll hear part II featuring some rockin solo's in the future?
Modulator : Welcome to the challenges! Really creative to use the acoustic as a bass, sounded great. Also dug the harmonica, I'm a sucker for 'em.
WarrenP : I'm late, late, late said the mad hatter ?. Having said that, your process is clearly improving from the deadline motivation - probably your best last minute track? All sits together quite well, didn't even notice the lack of drums!
Voodoo : Wow, that's a really killer solo 2:10-2:50 - loved that! Dug the keys, production real good and general vibe of the track suited me, though I felt it was missing something...(vocals?)
Stud : If I had to do a blind listen, I'd know this was your track within 1s ? Signature Stud style, with a hint of Chuck Berry (maybe?). Really dug the harmonica piece in there! Only crit was I think your vocals needed a different mix, less reverb and more upfront for blues? Merely a opinion!
Joe Moore : Showing us how it's done, this could be a clinic piece in writing a tasty laid back blues instrumental. That GR-33 sounded great (and tracked great too?) - singing solo worked throughout and production was great too. I'd like to play like that 8)
Jazzman : My favourite track. Sounded like you had fun! I liked pretty much everything : vocals, guitars, backing keys, bass, mix. I'm so glad I didn''t try and compete against this track. So my style. Only crit was that the lead sounded a tad piercing/thin at times, I want more Peter Green and less Rory Gallagher ?
Just my 0.02c, well done to all for entering and having fun with it!
