MIM standard pickup upgrade

Looking to upgrade my mim strat with better pups. Im looking for a versatile sound. Any recommendations? Was thinking of saving up for cs69's.

the much cheaper TexMex pickups could be an option in the mean time, wont dent the pocket to much but have an awesome sound.

i upgrade a MiM some time back with them and havent never felt the need to upgrade them any further.
