I'm thinking of buying a Roland Cube 60 for the simple reason of well...simplicity. I can pretty much dial it to sound like a clean tube amp and like the idea of the amp sims, on board reverb mostly, and simple quick way to line out. Line out sounds decent. I never mic up my amps where I play. Oh yes and the clean headroom is the biggest plus. So I'm thinking of letting my Peavey Classic 30 go and get a RC60.
I run my pedalboard straight to the amp. Simple setup. Question is, are there any comparable amps to the TC60? Played one last night. The Roland Chorus Amp setting was good. Reverb ok. Line out sounded good.
PS: Someone suggested s Fender Champ 100. No idea how that amp sounds though.

Just read up on the Roland Blues Cube Stage 60. May be a better option? Didn't see any effects loop though. But will only consider that for my Marshall amp in any case.

Cube 60 is a killer amp. I had one until very recently. It does everything you seem to need it for. It has less of the gimmicky features with a dedicated guitar amp driver. It doesn't accommodate for Aux-In for instance, like most of the Cubes do. It is not a bedroom jam amp. This one is made for the stage.
Its line-out is very "true" (high fidelity) and the best I've had on any amp. I don't line-out as a rule because of that loss of tone, and it's much, much less so on the 60. I only sold it because I used it too seldom and wanted to fund another purchase. A commonly reported issue (and I can confirm that mine did it) is that they hiss. This is not a problem when lining out and the hiss won't cut through a mix (when not lined out). You can easily live with it and/or ignore it. It is not a deal-breaker. Not all of them do it btw.
They've been discontinued, so you'll only find them second hand. I'm struggling to think of a comparable amp i.t.o. features, output and price-range.

As far as I know there is a massive difference in price between the Blues Cube and the standard Cube 60.

I love my RC60. There is a bit of hiss at line out but as Jazzman105 says. It's no big deal.

One more thing... The hiss only occurs on the "JC Clean" channel, not on any of the other amp models

Sounds good so far!!! At least according to my ears it sounded more "real(?)" than the Roland Cube 80XL that I have played with before... Guess I will trade or sell my Peavey soon. I still have the Marshall for those all out rock moments ?

As a matter of interest. Joe Walsh uses the RC60 as a practice amp and as an amp for his talk box as well for slide guitar. Seasick Steve is another user. He has it right next to him on stage and feeds the line-out into the PA.
