As I am waiting to get my new dimarzio pickups and as i am looking for a black pickguard for my cort and as I had 2 Fender Texmex pickups lying around, I thought why not have some fun.
First, since I only have 2 texmex pickups, I had the bright Idea to do a Baja tele tipe of pickup wiring. I only used what I had with me, And this was only the insides of my cort. Everything is fine except the volume pot is 500k and not 250k ohm. any way I wired everything to get the following selection.
position 5: bridge
position 4: Bridge and neck in parallel
position 3: Neck
position 2: neck (since I only needed a 4way switch, this is how it worked out)
position 1: Bridge and neck in series
I have a Pull switch on the tone and that is used to put the bridge out of phase with the neck in both position 1 and 4.
I also bought some Plexiglass and learned to make a pickguard. in the process the pickguard cracked and since its only a temp solution its not perfect, and I decided not to waste paint on it. So i just put it on like it is and it kinda looks interesting cool, I would definitely do a see through pickguard again. The only problem is that you can shield the pickups with copper tape...
