GAS vs. Garmin GPS

So being on holiday and seeing that I’m in Jeffreys Bay at the moment I decided to visit Andrew Bryson. Always nice to meet fellow members face to face. Andrew stays in P.E about 70km from J-Bay. So my fiancé and I jump in the car and off we went.

Now firstly I did some research on where Barney’s in P.E is. Andrew also gave me some directions. Problem is that I came in at the wrong side of town. After visiting suburbs that Andrew doesn’t even know, asking directions at multiple Petrol stations “I finally found what I’ve been looking for” ?

Had a few ice cold beers with Andrew and just talked GAS and work. Luckily finding our way back was much easier seeing that we traveled through most of P.E earlier the afternoon.

So here is the question: Do I spend R3k – R4k on a GPS or use it as GAS money?

Do you travel to strange places often? Or if you can't find the music stores. Then maybe the GPS first.

go for the cellphone. the samsung omnia has garmin for life, so no hidden costs. also has a cradle that you can stick on your windscreen.
i used it to get to the wedding yesterday, worked brilliantly.

The phone option is good, don't laugh, but my phone HTC Touch Pro got GPS.
Don't have garmin software, just loaded and configured Nav4All. It is free GPS mapping software ?

I will give it a try today driving to st. Francis bay.

I like that the best! Let's call it the Fender Pathfinder ? No amp needed 8)

So I used Nav4All today, and I recommend it. It was a bit tricky at first, but now it very simple.
So if your phone have GPS, but no GPS software go to www.nav4all.com
