Squire Fender Mustang

Was out on a bit of a music store trawl and came across the Fender Squire Mustang.

Didn't know they made a entry level version of this, didn't get to play it - but at R2550 (new), I thought that someone might ~~want~~ need a Mustang in their lives. ?

Shorter scale (24in) hardtail'ed HH, looks to me like a solid place to start modding from. Swop a P90 in the neck and a place in Nirvana is yours. (Yes, I know it's not the same, but it's prettty dang cheep)

Is that a local price? I know it's a Bullet but it's been getting OK reviews on the OSG forum

Yip, local price, was at Bothners yesterday. Thought I took a pic, but I couldn't find it.

I didn't try and squeeze them on discount, perhaps one could shave a little more off the price - come to think of it, they havn't had a birthday sale this year yet (usually April/May?). Hmm.

Also read some good things on the OSG forum last nite, reminds me a bit of the bronco bass in it's simplicity and mod friendliness?
