For me it's classical music or any kind of smooth jazz.

There's a cool mix of exactly that on Bolling: Suite for Cello and Jazz Piano Trio. Really enjoy that mix!

Currently I'm overdosing on the Boardwalk Empire Soundtrack, it's so nice to hear these early recordings redone and revamped.

No ways! You are full of surprises Stoffeltoo, infected mushroom were a huge favourite of mine back in day. Got to see them live twice at local festivals, really good live!

Sun Project were also interesting, better live though. the drummer and guitarist were damn good. Only time I saw live 'trance' musicians worth watching at a trance festival.

a mate of mine is a dj in japan. dig his stuff. LOVE jean-michel jarre. always have. in fact, i'm a little bit of a sucker for anything with a heavy synthesiser bias (harold faltermeyer anyone?). i think it's because i had two little yamaha psr keyboards when i was in high school and used to plug them in to my boombox to make recordings. first stuff i ever did. many an 80s anthem. i was a child of the decade of synth and neon! ?

classical - especially violin and piano concerti. not a major fan of opera but there are some (SOME) arias i particularly enjoy. (nessun dorma, toreador (from carmen), largo al factotum, some others.)

more than that, i can't think of right now without playing into having to plead the 5th...

After all the metal bands, and rockers, my favorite band is Depeche Mode. Always loved their music(not all of it but lots of their stuff)
Alo like stuff like OMD, Lana Del Rey, instrumental like Kenny G , Piano music. George MIchael Jazz? stuff, Billy Joel, Elton John.
Listen to other stuff when I had enough of rock and metal

depeche mode. ah, yes. so i'm not sure they qualify, because martin gore is a guitar player and will often use or even just sample the guitar; policy of truth, barrel of a gun, etc. that said, there are many tracks that would qualify them squarely, and i'd back you 100%. omd as well. kenny g, maybe not so much... billy joel, elton john absolutely. great stuff there. george michael was a fantastically talented musician and composer, again just not sure he qualifies because of the 'no guitar' thang.

I actually wanted to be a saxophonist. Dig Charlie Parker, Stan Getz, Grover Washington Jnr, etc. On doctors orders (due a medical condition) cannot blow horns so I looked for the nearest instrument on which I can play saxophone lines lol. So yeah I listen to saxophone A LOT!!! Current favourite Justin Klunk.
