Different people have a different perception of "quality"... like those guys who just have to tell you how awesome their guitar playing is, but when you hear them they can barely strum a chord.
Sometimes perfectionism can get in the way as well! i.e. something doesn't quite measure up to your standard so you trash it, but to 99% of people out there its really good.
I'd rather err on the side of perfection tho!
