It is with great sadness to announce that Rockergramps aka Pierre Celliers passed away this morning after a very short illness.
He is fondly remembered for his mastery of the Hank Marvin and Shadows style playing and was the band leader of Impulse in the Vaal.
Please spare a thought for his family and close friends.

it's been bloody horrible hearing of the passing of the greats in the world of music this year. the 'untouchables' we've grown up listening to, modelling our musicianship on. and every year, it will be the same, if not worse, i suppose.
but hearing of people we've come that much closer to knowing, or learned from, or we've known personally who've passed on in this close-knit little creative community of ours?
that's just another level
