MXR Carbon Copy Delay
humble-mike
Hi all,
I have a n MXR Carbon Copy delay pedal I brought with me to SA. Sadly, when I unpacked my gear, my pedal seems to have picked up a fault in transit and now only produces a weak sound and only gives one repeat.
Does anyone know of anyone in the PTA or JHB areas who might be able to diagnose and repair this pedal?
Thanks!
Mike

Howzit Mike!
You can try Leon van Zyl at Pop Effects. Email him at
leon@popeffects.co.za
He is building me a guitar pedal at the moment.
Kind regards

Many other builders I would suggest than Leon.
Peter Cornell from Bizzar Audio is one. +27 82 782 5692
Riaan de Beer is another.
Of course, Benjamin Craig is the best, but in Nelspruit. +27 82 708 7511
Or, you could open the pedal yourself and make sure the delay chip hasn't unseated itself.
A friend's Wampler Faux tape echo went on the fritz, we replaced the IC and it worked perfectly again. So could also be a possibility.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys! I'll call around and see if any of these contacts can resurrect my pedal.
Cheers!
