Buzz I thought you guys may like to see this project I recently (nearly) finished. I bought it covered in dodgy furry carpet held on with carpet tacks. So there was no option to recover. Guts are all original.
shaunf Hey Buzz! Long time, no chat! That's an awesome amp and well done on the restoration, looks superb!
singemonkey *cries with jealousy* I don't quite understand about recovering. Is that the original cabinet?
Buzz Thanks all - It is the original cabinet, but I had to recover as it was nasty! You can see in the pic. Just needing to find a handle. It is very different to my JMP amps - beautiful clean sound, haven't dared crank it up yet. Speakers are original - one has had the dustcap replaced.
nick_D01 wow, that's a really great find getting your hands on this. by the pics you've done a really nice job as well, well done ? .
Buzz Thanks Nick and others - I did a lot of practise re-tolexing others before attempting this one. I wish I could afford proper pinstripe Eric Collins http://www.bluesbreaker-pinstripe.com/ Grille cloth, but it is way to expensive for me (around USD300)
