"In the style of..." Create a entry reflecting the style of the guitarist or band which had the greatest influence on your playing style. Rules : You can have up to four tracks. Submission should be no longer than two minutes long. Original submissions and lyrics - if you are going to cover something, please make sure it is in the public domain (E.g. No copyright or copyright has expired) Send entries in m3p format to v8v8v8 at gmail dot com by 23h59pm, 9th November 2016. Please don't forget to have GFSA somewhere in the email title and include your GFSA username, category (beginner, intermediate, advanced) and track title.

How are y'all coming along?

I'd like to say I've gotten further than a verse idea that morphs into a another verse.

But I havn't. Was a busy weekend (watching bands & jamming) which looks to be followed by a working weekend (no bands, but maybe a gig).

Not sure I'm gonna get any time to take the idea's further :'(

So I've gone from Creed, to the Peppers, to Altar Bridge and now to Foo Fighters... lol.

I come up with a hook and start working with it... Figure out what influence it has and then listen to the artist. But then I go "woah! they are too 'complicated' for me".

Hopefully I can finish off one of my ideas this weekend!

Garageband for now, and until I get the DIYiRig done, recording via a really convoluted route: instrument into MiniDisc recorder, upload MD recording via USB to PC, then from PC onto iPad to import loop into Garageband.

Oooooo, seems like I out-thought myself.

The deadline for this challenge is : 23h59pm, 9th November 2016. - so this coming Wednesday...

There's a really good chance of getting my idea a bit more polished...yeah!

Ok... so I got round to fixing a few aspects on the song and cut out the extra bits and it's now 1:55.
It came out in the style of "Warren"... I'm my biggest influence...lol. It is what it is.

Submitted with 44mins to spare...
