V8 · 2016-08-01T09:06:55+00:00

Anything Goes! For us mere mortals slaving away in our home studio's...Anything goes this month! I can't recall a more open GFSA challenge topic. It's not a song challenge, mini challenge or anything in particular. It's a RWYB (run what ya brung) event...enter whatever you like! Rules : 1. Original entries only please. 2. No time limits, no track limits. If you would like to enter, send me an email (v8v8v8 at gmail dot com) by Monday 29th August, with : 1. GFSA username. 2. Track name. 3. Category (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced) 3. Track rendered in mp3. 4. Optional blurb. Anything you might feel is useful to the listener - info about song, studio, recording techniques, etc.. Don't forget - collaborations are encouraged.

Averatu

Have not been around here for a while. Could someone point me to the rules of this challenge?
EDIT: Never mind.

I have been so busy with work, even on weekends.
Then last weekebd I decided I am goibg to record, then the Windows 10 anniversary update screwed me over - my audio interface keeps reconnecting every two seconds. After two hours of trying to fix it, I packed up everything and then drank some brandy.

I've heard horror stories about W10 updates! Drive a man to drink and sell his recording setup... ?

Welcome back stranger!

Thanks Meron. I dug around in the garage and found an old Behringer interfacem which can only take RCA connections. My amp has an emulated output, so maybe I'll do something quick today.

It'll be worth it - I'm fairly sure we'll have three categories this month, so it'll be a slightly more even playing field than some of the previous challenges.

I'm tempted to head down to intermediate after checking the early entries..they're real good!

Sometimes this is the only thing a man can do. I had a W10 update as well, but it did not affect any of my software, so I guess I am one of the lucky ones? Hoping to hear your stuff this month Hasie.

Ahhh, well...it *might* have something to do with a new toy I've on loan from the good fellows at the Gear Junkie.

It's related to the a genre I know absolutely nothing about...djentlemen ???

Ah, Stoffeltoo, - I recall bugging Adrian with updates for more than a few challenges - I'd enter, sleep on it have a re-listen (cringe), fix the cringe and enter again...rinse and repeat ?
