+1. Yip, you will need to do this.
Maybe check for a few Flying V build threads for idea's of how best to ground your bridge style (or post a pic here) - a little bravery required with a drill, measure thrice...drill once. (Wizard can attest to this...or it's measure once, drill once, spend a day filling the hole and then drill again ?)
If you have a painted bridge, you might need to remove some paint to expose bare metal to attach the ground - I've had a issue or two with thick finishes on hardware not conducting the ground.
And take some time to mock up the wiring before you heat up the soldering iron - approaching wiring with a plan (even a simpler setup like this) makes for much neater installs.
