Okay guys, I saw the list with all the Luthiers, especially around Cape Town. I need a Luthier to do the set-up on my Custom Built Telecaster. I need a good Luthier as the setting of the intonation on a 3 saddle bridge is quite a daunting task! Give me a good guy whom I can contact as well as his telephone number pse.

How bad is the intonation? My Tele has a 3 saddle bridge and I managed to get it set, more or less. You can't make them perfect. You kinda move each barrel forwards and back until the two strings on it is as close to intonated as you can get them, then that's probably as good as it'll get.

Foster specialises in acoustic guitars. If you want a guy who knows electrics inside out and back to front you need to speak to Graeme Hayward, who is on this forum as lapdawg.

I have sent my guitar to Alan Ratcliffe. From what I have seen on his website he seems to know electric guitars - playing them and working on them. Spoke to him and he says although his website says he only do instruments of his friends and his own, he here and there helps people out if they are in need of his service. Is he good? Can anybody give me feedback?

Yes, I would expect Alan to do an excellent setup on an electric guitar.

Also if you trawl some older threads around these parts - you'll find his handiwork all over GFSA - he's a absolute legend.
