I done it! ? I pulled the trigger on a surf green Fender USA American Special Stratocaster. Looking forward to take receipt and will post pics once received.

Bit of guitar Pron. The meansome threesome My Tokai LS92, Fender SCE Sonoran California series and the latest baby, a Fender American Special in surf green and Texas special pups. The two 'leccies is loved by the Elk ES40 and the acoustic talks loud through a Fishman Mini Loudbox. Sound heaven if you ask me ;) My apologies for the poor pic quality, the shakes and cell phones!

Very nice Stoffel.

I have always been a fan of the Les Paul shapes. My current electric is a strat shape and I have been holding out on buying something new until I get that LP shape at a good price (and colour!), but not a cheapie. I am beginning to see the Tokai as a viable option. I see that ez also plays a Tokai LS92 and has recently pimped it out quite nicely with the bigsby.

What's been your experience with it??? Flaws? Tone?

Not sure why you won't see the Tokai as a viable option. The Japanese models are excellent. I haven't played a chinese one but most people who owns the MIJ Tokais love them. There's a LS95S on SAMS going for R11800. Those are super nice.

Let's just say that my guitar brand vocabulary is only now being challenged. When starting out one tends to be overwhelmed with all the choices and then you kinda stick to the 'known' brands. It was only a few months ago that a friend bought a Tokai and I was very impressed with it.

I used to think 'Gibson', 'Ibanez' or 'Fender' only, but nowadays my head is leaning toward 'Tokai', 'PRS', 'ESP/Ltd' etc. You live you learn.. :?

Yeah I also always yearned for a Gibson LP but I soon realised that their prices are ballooning way faster than my income, so I went the other way. Glad I did, judging by what the big G puts out these days...

My Tokai is my other favourite go to guitar. The Buckers work awesome with tube and no real hard thinking skills needed either. As to craftsmanship, I can not find flaws in my opinion and to me the perfect smooth playing guitar. What is important is sustain and intonation accuracy which is met by the Tokai. Our Chinese and Korean cousins, the Japanese have nailed it with this brand and please note I am not dissing the other Tokai licensed manufacturers. I do a Chinese Fender Sonoran and it is a love story by itself. I did play some gibbo,s but sadly the price makes it unaffordable for a mere mortal 9-5 worker
