Selling to raise funds for a new amp build. Kickass little valve 1x12" combo, made in the UK. Channel 1 is blackface Fender circuit, channel 2 is hot rodded Marshall JCM800 in to a plexi phase inverter and a quad of cathode bias EL84s ala Vox AC30. This is the version before they introduced the "tone" control and cheaper components. Great tone, loud enough to cut through the band but small enough to get those power tubes working. Goes from spanky clean to classic rock all the way to metal. Spring reverb, parallel FX loop, HH Invader speaker. Good condition, some light wear on the tolex. Just serviced and JJ EL84s installed. R3800 neg, no trades.Collection only, Randburg.

Did Norio buy this? very nice! Interested
EDIT: Norio pulled the trigger.
Man this amp sounds ideal for what I have been looking for and the price is great!
I still have questions though:
Are both the channels "clean"?
What does it weigh?
What the controls, I only seem to find an uglier modern version of this amp online.
Wow, I'd like to play on this thing.

Reserved. That was quick ?
Thanks @Thomas. This thing is POWERFUL.
And it highlights just how terrible I am at controlling my playing from how I pluck to using the volume knob effectively.
Going to need to really practise a lot more to make this thing sound as good as you made it sound yesterday ?
Again, thanks for the awesome deal.

Haha, Thomas is a good one to come and show you how good your gear is and how much you still need to practice ?Norio wrote: Thanks @Thomas. This thing is POWERFUL.

Good find and steep learning curve. Thats prolly why I went solid state, too lazy to learn and practice

Yeah I wasn't going to embarrass myself in front of wifey after Thomas let rip on the amp ?ez wrote: Haha, Thomas is a good one to come and show you how good your gear is and how much you still need to practice ?
Beefy indeed! And very warm. Which is tasty.ez wrote: Congrats! I played that amp, its nice. Beefy.
I often go for a harsher, high gain tone which can be tons of fun but doesn't really give you room to "explore" more intricate playing.
Only thing is, this amp is so loud, I might never hear "fully" the driven channel in this house ?
My wife wants to know why the guitar I bought from Thomas doesn't sound as good when I play it... Should never have played her Thomas' demo of the guitar.. Shot myself in the foot right there ?Norio wrote: Yeah I wasn't going to embarrass myself in front of wifey after Thomas let rip on the amp ?
