My first guitar re-build: Stratocaster
Toast
Hi guys I did my first guitar build this year. I sourced most of the parts individually on gumtree. The neck is a Mighty Mite Fender licensed birds-eye maple neck. Lovely neck. I'm very happy with it. The body is unidentified. But is a nice solid three-piece ash (or maybe Alder) body with beautiful grain. I converted it from a Tremolo to a hardtail. The bridge is a Gotoh hardtail bridge. The rest are all genuine Fender parts. The pickups came out of an American Deluxe (I think they are called E1 pickups) with the S1 switching. I'm really enjoying the variety of sound it produces. It was quite a fun project and I'm quite pleased with the result. The guitar sounds and plays beautifully. It has one or two "beauty spots" on the back where the finish is not perfect - a couple of lessons learned there (it is my first time after all).

WOW! That truly looks amazing... and original! Great work!
And that neck... ?

Nice job, especially on the ''top deck''. Did you get that finish by spraying around the sides with the guitar on a block, and let the ''overflow'' settle on the body, and then spray the front edges.
