Which setup to get

Hey guys, complete newbie here. Apologies if this type of question has been asked before. Since lessons have been going well on accoustic, and my tutor keeps on arriving with his electric guitar and Marshall amp. I am becoming more interested in getting an awesome setup. Now yes there are great starter packs. But i don't want to buy for the sake of buying, only to end up not getting the right amp, and having to buy all over again.

So any advise on what i should be looking for , and something thats not going to break the bank

A Yahama Pacifica + 40w roland cube is good beginner -> intermediate level setup.

Certain Corts are great value too, I saw a G260 + Blackstar 20W amp for R2500, which is cheeeep!

So i think i came across a good deal, which i took the seller up on.
PRS Tremonti SE black with fender bag and stand including a Marshal MG100 . Ended up paying R6500 for the lot. Looking forward to receiving it
