Road-ready
Les Pauls aren't exactly shrinking violets when it comes to live work; they're proven, reliable, and durable workhorses capable of racking up the road miles. But this LP is truly made for the stage, sporting a Neutrik locking output jack, an over/under dual truss rod for extra neck reinforcement, and a Graph Tech nut. This is a serious gigging guitar!
Les Paul tone
Don't let the "tough guy" road-friendly features of the GT fool you: it's a Les Paul through and through. The Les Paul GT features the same carved maple top and solid mahogany body as its soulful siblings, and its one-piece Classic 50s neck profile is smooth and comfortable for playing in any setting. An ebony fingerboard tops the neck, and it's loaded with 22 frets and beautiful mirror trapezoid inlays.
Innovative electronics
The Les Paul GT's 490R and 498T Alnico humbuckers provide great tone and plenty of output. Add two push-pull volume and two push-pull tone knobs and a three-way pickup selector, and you've got an incredible range of tonal options for any stage. The GT even features a high-pass tone filter, so high frequencies are maintained at any volume setting.
Hearty hardware
What are the most common modifications made to guitars to make them roadworthy? That's a question the folks at Gibson asked themselves when they hunkered down to design the Les Paul GT. The result? This guitar comes stock with real-world gigging necessities such as strap locks, locking metal button Grover tuners, knurled volume and tone knobs, and a Tone-Pro chrome stop bar tailpiece and bridge.
