Hi guys I'm working on an old Strat and I would appreciate your help. Does anyone know what type of wood this is:

G-Man

Swamp ash?

I've a suspicion as to what type of wood it might be, but I'm waiting for the collective wisdom of the forum to prove me right or wrong.

Definitely not Swamp ash.

Looks like Alder to me.
If it smells like popcorn when you sand it, it's definitely Alder.
