Something has come up and I may have to let go of my 7 string that I just literally finished refinishing.

Whats a fair price with hardcase?

After you put in so much effort. It came out beautifully.

I would say calculate all parts costs and then add some for the effort and time you spent on it.

Often times people aren't willing to pay enough to cover the guitar, parts, labour etc. Sometimes they are, though.

But the big thing is, if you love that guitar, I recommend you bite down and find the money another way.

I sold one guitar and it was my best guitar. The money was really needed (couldn't pay rent without it) but I've never found anything that felt as good and I've pretty much never forgiven myself. So don't take this decision lightly. Given the same choice today, I'd find another source of cash to pay rent. Seriously.

I still need to have a proper look over your thread there, but I really like the way it came it.

I had an RG7321 in my teens and sold it for some crazy low price even though I didn't have to. It was still brand new. You learn from experience...

What kind of guitar was it that you sold Norio?

@Micron, it was an RG470. Purple thing with friggin' neon yellow and green knobs. (I bought it 2nd-hand like that.)

It played like butter and made me sound good!

Same here man. I'm sure I'll get over it once I get my current guitars set up properly but, between being too lazy to find a good tech and being disappointed by the techs I've used so far, it just hasn't happened. Anyway, I've decided I'm gonna get this (JS2450-MCP). Maybe in a year or 2. Methinks it'll make me feel 10x better about the old RG :P
