How smooth is the transition between GP5 and GP6 (tabs and songs and such)? I have GP5 and have wondered whether the upgrade/update is worth it from that perspective...

Do you have experience with that?

Hi. in my honest opinion I prefer GP5 but GP6 has some features that are better. I like GP6's RSE but the soundbanks can be a bit tricky to download and install. Haven't figured out that one yet! :?

I can play everything from GP3 onward on GP6. I have also read somewhere that they plan on re-introducing some of GP5's features that they took out when they designed GP6.

Shortcut key etc is still pretty much the same( haven't figured out to indicate pickscrapes on GP6. LOL)

Otherwise in my opinion there is not that much difference and if you have GP5 under control GP6 should be easy.

Weeeeeell. That sums things up nicely. I think I'll be sticking with GP5 for now, maybe wait until they do another full update and see what the general buzz is on that before making a decision. I"m happy with GP5 for now, learning all the hidden bits n bobs of a thing doesn't feel like it's worth it right now. More important things to do with my down time.

Yea I got GP5 - but i can't even find a gp file for the song hahahaha
