Where to advertise for bands/band members?

1) On this very site, where should I one start a thread?
Maybe we can get a dedicated sub so that it pops up in google search? I don't know how that stuff works. Should one just stick something in the classifieds?

2) Besides this place, where does one look/advertise?
Gumtree is crickets and tumbleweeds and sometimes just dodgy. Is there a facebook page or something, some website I don't now of for local musicians looking to start bands?

I'm so off the grid when it comes to the interwebz I have no damn clue whats happening. Time for a vegan smoothie followed by a moment of Om.

Otherwise, I'd guess a classified ad on GFSA?

I've been wanting to play bass in a band again - been hanging around the gear junkie waiting for someone to pop in looking for a crappy bassist ?

I tried to join that group weeks ago but its still "pending" and I can't post anything there until they allow me in.
