Seymour Duncan IVR98

So a while ago I did a guitar trade and got a very good guitar in the trade. It no longer had its standard pups. So after a few months, I took it in for a restring, fret dressing, servive and setup, and asked them to please get me the model numbers of the pups. Yhe guy who I traded with didn't know them.

So the bridge pup is a Seymour Duncan IVR98. Well, that is the code on it. I am unable to find any information on it. ???

Do any of you know anything about that pup?

Please tell us the type of pup (Strat/Tele/Bucker/mini/P90) and if the IV might be an N? The rightmost letter is likely the initial of the Seymour Duncan employee who made the pup.

It is a humbucker. I don't know if it might be an N. I am not going to remove it to have a look.
There is coil split switch installed for it as well, if that helps.

So the neck pup is a APH1B, which is pre 2002. Looking at the list on the following url, the bridge pup might be an N. The question is which one. http://www.seymourduncan.com/faqs/labels-built-before-2002

Not getting very far with that table, are we? The only conclusion is that is isn't an Invader because it does not have black Allen key screws etcetera.

One thing you might try is measuring the DC resistance. Switch to bridge pup, put the volume and tone fully open and plug in a normal lead. Now measure Ohms between tip and sleeve with a multimeter. Check against the spec of the individual SD pups.

Once I have all the info, and because the guitar is all clean and purdy now, I will post some pics and info when done.
