This is a special one, The Gear Junkie has graciously offered some goodies for first, second and third place. :woohoo:

The winners will get vouchers to the value of R100 each. Postage fees to the nearest PostNet office will also be included.

Rules: Must be between 20s - 40s and two tracks may be used this time.

Deadline: Sunday (27th) before 12h00.

Awww yeah!

I havn't been practising nylon enough, but I do have a fairly good idea of what I am going to attempt to get right.

Also means I'm going to have to do some fixing on my nylon stringer - figured out the piezo element isn't picking up the G & B strings at all and is a bit weak on the D string too ???

So who else is going to bring the noize?

I am going to attempt something. I want to do it on my acoustic, but the chords I am going to use is still a bit of a problem for me to fret cleanly on it. So if I can't manage to do it on the acoustic, I will use the electric guitar.

I think what I am going to do might end up a bit bland, but will enter it nonetheless. Will have to do it by Friday - going to be be in the middle of nowhere over the weekend.

No excuse :? Use the forum and arrange a jam/collab with some coasties. ? Someone may just have a spare guitar and recording gear at hand. Enjoy the break

Was wondering what I'm gonna do while house-sitting this weekend. Gonna be tough but hopefully I can come up with something

If anyone is struggling, you could try this for a little inspiration : Amin, Gmaj, Fmaj, E7 (Key of A) and play a C Major scale over it = Fakemenco. :?

For a bit of flavour, get creative with strumming hand patterns, try it in a different key, move the chords around (open & barre), change the order, try different chord voicings and mix up the C Major scale with a bit of A blues.

I managed to replace the piezo pickup last night, so I'm in.

A pleasure bro - you can simplify it down to a Amin/E7 two chord vamp and use the same scales. Then maybe throw in a Gmaj, Fmaj, E7 run occasionally to make up a 'chorus'. Much fun!

Please. I haven't had time to record during the week. The best J will be able to do by 12 tomorrow, is a cellphone recording of my acoustic.
