First off.. I am NOT advertising here ?

A while ago myself and I mate were trawling jhb after a work function and happened upon this "jam night" purely by accident..

I had never performed publicly before and in the haze of a big night ended up Jamming solo, singing, and having the time of my life..

Anyways a few months in, and I've been back repeatedly to jam with the house band and solo and generally whatever... The guys are awesome, they set up everything weekly, drums, vocals, amps, I've even rocked up without a guitar and played a few times...

All you need to do is bring your instrument and intent and you'll have a blast!

Jam night currently happens at rusty hook on Tuesdays. You can find the group on the book of face, maybe organise ahead with Mike Smuts (fb), if you have special dietary musical requirements..

I think it's a great concept and it needs support, fans and musos alike.!

I went, saw Mike Smuts play some pretty awesome stuff, met one or two mates, saw a not so young group playing, then a young band - good vocalist, then had to leave. All in all pretty good.
