Help me build my first pedalboard

The time has come to move away from multi-fx and delve into the bottomless money pit of stompboxes. So far, all I've purchased is a Way Huge Pork Loin and a ProCo RAT 2, both dirt boxes. I am considering purchasing the following (in due time) to round up my rig: Into the amp: 1. PolyTune mini; 2. MXR Dyna Comp; 3. Pork Loin; 4. RAT 5. Active volume pedal Effects loop: This is where I am pretty undecided... thinking of this for the moment: 1. TC Electronic Flashback Delay OR Electro Harmonix Memory Man OR MXR Carbon Copy; 2. Electro Harmonix Holy Grail Reverb OR TC Hall of Fame OR similar; 3. Micro POG 4. Tremolo pedal (undecided - haven't looked into this one yet). Any feedback on recommended power supply and actual pedalboard (i.e. Pedal Train etc?). I want to learn from your mistakes before taking an expensive plunge ?

Thus, I will never deal with Leon myself. YMMV.

Benj on the other hand, I have a very good relationship with him.
If i didn't have my flint, the tremosoul would be on my board, no doubt.
He also has an awesome delay called the Aura.
Oh, and he don't build no clones. so he has to do actual research into what works and what doesnt circuit wise.

Like i said though, try a Zoom MS-70. Don't be put off by the Zoom name, the models are super accurate and really impressive!

Eish, I don't think I can do Zoom. Bit of brand snobbery I guess... Although I see the MS-70 does get rave reviews on Sweetwater.

Just picked up TC Electronic Flashback X4 from Marshalls for R2800. That price is winning all the way as the current list price I see online is $250, which at the current R/$ rate is about R3300 or so.

Just dish out on your power supply, there are so many good ones coming out now... and what you cant get in SA you can here in the USA and get shipped over.
Walrus Audio just came out with some of the coolest power supplies out there, as does Cioks, and Voodoo Labs. GET ISOLATED POWER SUPLIES. Dont wast time with daisy chaining, that shit gets old real quick. I have kicked out two bassists because they apparently did not see the importance of good tone via isolated power supplies (among other stuff)

For actual board... just make one.... I have zero skill in DIY projects yet can build a pretty sweet pedalboard at litrually no cost.

As for pedals, thats where really you cant go wrong, its all in your taste.

What do you guys think of using a multi-effects for at least some of the effects in the chain?
I was thinking of using one for the effects that don't demand that analogue magic, such as noise gate, delay, maybe even chorus and compression.

Not insane. But if I did that, I'd definitely want a small form multi-fx - something not much larger than a standard stomp. And I don't know what's available like that.

Yes I noticed size seems to be a major factor in pedal choice for seasoned users. Smaller the better, with a lot of classics being re-issued in more compact forms.

@singemonkey - Look at something like Line 6's Pocket Pod. I use it in my signal chain, and it's a lot of fun.
