Any Bass VI players in ZA ?
canonball
Does anyone else play a Squier Bass VI or Fender Bass VI ?
I am interested to find out - if nothing else it'll let me know if I'm the only one trying to keep 30-inch, small ball-end Bass strings on hand ?

Not yet, but I'm sorely tempted. Where did you get yours? Music Mate has a Fender but I'm keen to give the Squier a try.

@peterleroux I love mine - 6 articulate strings and a neck you can hold in one hand! Depending on the attack / signal chain it could be a thumping bass or a fingerstyle baritone.
I got mine through All4Women / importitall - when it was clear that no one local was going to help get one into my hands.

Yeah I got one and I really dig it.
Exactly the same as your picture. Bought mine from Marshall Music Woodmead.
Only problem I have with it is finding the right strings. I am looking for Circle K strings but it seems no one stocks them.
Jims
@canonball what strings do you have on hand for a Bass VI?
I need to get a heavier gauge.

@Jims Nice to know there is another Bass VI player around. I'm using the D'Addario XL156 sets, which run 24-85. I tune it up a semitone: F to F#, all fourths, any lower and that 85 just flops around. I like the overall feel of the set - not much thicker than a baritone, but I know some guys buy the set, toss the 24 and drop a 95/100 in the bottom slot.
