Well they figured if they could do so well with the Lawn Dart (reverse V), they could get away with this. DOn't be surprised how many people fall for Gibson's marketing and really believe that "only a Gibson is good enough".

If I wanted a guitar with holes in, I'd rather go for a Rolf Spuler Paradis:

That is guitar porn......At least this one makes it look good.There was thought put into it, not just giving a inebriated guy a router and say "Go for it!!!"

Maybe it's just me and my infatuation/obsession with the Explorer that makes me see it as a horrible thing, but still.

It looks like they cut regular Explorer bodies and then carved bits out.

I think it's not the ugliest guitar I've seen.

Yes. In fact it has six - one for each string.

That Gibson is a completely pointless instrument. Make a proper Explorer with the same cut-down features for half or even a quarter of the price and maybe it would be worthwhile, but this is just plain ugly and overpriced.

OMW what next!!!?? I really feel about Gibson the way you feel when an old hero turns out to be an a**hole. I won't part with any money for their new stuff.

They should take this , add veneers to both the front and back...and sell it as a pricy chambered body explorer...I'd still not be able to afford it, but atleast it'll be something to look at.
