I recently got an old Samick guitar from a guy at Church as a present.
Road worn as hell, bit of abuse but still very functional. (Posted it somewhere on the forum)
I saw a clip on you tube where a bloke modded a guitar to a Baritone by simply replacing the strings with 13 gauge strings and down tuning to B to keep tension in check.
The idea is something of a Frankenstein acoustic with a single electric hum-bucker, volume and tone control to have the best of both worlds with minimum regret and cost if the project goes awry.
Will post picks soon

13-56s tuned to B on an acoustic are loads of fun. Be prepared for that B to be very flabby, and you should expect to have to re-do the intonation. But still an easy (and fun) way to get a baritone

Thanks Peterleroux
Most googled comment also pointed out that the base B may be a bit flabby but can be tweaked. Some guitars also have a tendency to go out on intonation from 5-6 frets. Hope mine doesn't ?
I will keep the bubbas and babettes updated on progress and a couple of novel ideas I want to incorporate.
