Band Practice space

Hi all

I'm looking for a practice space for a four piece band in the eastern half of Johannesburg/East rand. If you know of any spaces available in the area with or without gear please reply to this message.

Hey man

Have you considered storage facilities? If you split the cost among all members its cheap per month, and you can make as much noise as you like. Thy are basically the size of a garage, have power points, and if its a decent storage park, you canleave the gearthere too

? Imagine a storage space park full of practising bands ? We could leave the doors open and park management should let people in and let them vote on every bands progress or give like's etc. ?
Anyone knows of a storage park where a band is practising ? 8) 8)

I have not considered storage facilities but that is a very good idea, will keep my eye out for something.

Babbalute I'll leave you in charge of organising the storage facility festival ?.

Every Tuesday night I swing the dining room table around and slide the lounge coffee table under it.
I set up the PA and connect the speakers. Assemble the Roland digital drum kit. Tune up electric and acoustic guitars and set up the amplifier and effects pedal. Plug in some mics and get all the sound balanced for band practice. After practice I leave it all set up and Wednesday morning it takes another hour to pack it all away again and put the lounge back the way Madam wants it.
I can't think of a better way to spend my Tuesday evening ?

We had a problem with a practice space a while back, so we just gigged instead of practicing, but it all depends on where your band is at this stage. If it's getting everything sorted out, this is a bad idea, if it's just jamming all the songs to stay in practice then this can work. Setting up for practice or a gig is about the same amount of effort.
