Q:
1. Why are you here?
2. What was the first album you bought? and/or Which is the first album/song/band fired your interest in music?
3. What band/song/album got you to pick up the guitar/bass?
4. Which genre/style of music or artist first made you think/feel.
5. What was the last thing you learned (or busy learning?)
6. What's your 'dirty' musical secret?

1. I read Alan Ratcliffe's book called "The Electric Guitar Handbook". I emailed him and he suggested that I join GFSA. I had a lot of questions...I guess that will never stop.
2. My first album was Collaboration by George Benson/Earl Klugh.
3. I had no interest in music until I was about 16. My local guitar hero, Tony Bagley, had a cool jazz-funk style and freakin awesome speed on the guitar. I wanted to be like him so I pestered my parents until they bought me an electric guitar.
4. I was hooked on jazz-funk (Shakatak, etc) and fusion until I listened to Gary Moore "Still Got The Blues" and Santana "Europa"...those two songs changed it for me.
5. I never had an interest in chords until I started with a teacher last year...so now I'm learning arpeggios and the lot...the aim is to shred fusion lines
6. I suck at lyrics. Can't remember the words...I only know "Happy Birthday" by hart ?. Maybe it's because I suck at singing...

A:
1. Originally, to find out more about playing guitar. Now, to check up what's going on in these here parts of the interwebs.
2. Crikey. I cannot remember. But Clapton / Knopfler were my main, "I want to play guitar like that".
3. It was actually guitar hero that led me to buy a guitar and learn to play.
4. uh, not sure i understand the question entirely. But many songs have different meanings to me. I live my life through music. But Theuns Jordaan and his guitarist Anton L'Amour make me feel.
5. Blue Hotel, Chris Isaak.
6. I have a thing for Taylor Swift. Her music, her. Yeah, she rocks imo. Apparently I also have an unnerving love for Afrikaans music.
