a good teacher means lots of experience, and lots of experience means money............

You can try Riana Van Wyk music school, she got about 25years+ experience in vocal training.
Or maby the jamrock music school in brackenfell

I found one at "Jazz Workshop" in town that suited me as I could walk there after work. My teacher has left but Iam sure thay have several other.

Which if any of these people does R&B? Cos I'm less than not interested in classical singing - which seems to be the background of a lot of teachers.

Liana Marx is in Brackenfell...I had some lessons from her. Not CRAZY expensive, and goes with what you give her. Her students have won the Supersterre thing a lot...you can give her a ring...

Hi guys, a newbie here...

Would there be vocal coaches in the western cape that specialize in a bit more heavy and rock vocals?

I would like to improve myself, but not sure how much classical training will assist me. I feel like a tool watching those Melissa Cross dvd's at home (and I don't want to upset the neighbours). Don't worry, I don't want to do death metal hehehe...
