Just wanted some opinions, I read up that an easy way to combat ground loop/earth issues that cause hum in Valve amps is to use a 2 Pin kettle plug.
How advisable or dangerous is this and does this work?

If your amp is excessively noisy it might be a shielding issue inside. If one of your guitar's is noisy it's probably shielding in the guitar. Fix the shielding issues rather than disconnect it from earth as its job is to stop you or the amp from getting fried in the case of a problem.
