Lithium Polymer batteries
daveo1977
A friend of mine showed me a modified lithium polymer battery (typically used in remote control aeroplanes) that his dad uses to power all his guitar pedals. He's powering 5 pedals with a single battery - all his pedals require 9V DC. Has anyone on this forum experimented with creating a LiPo battery power source? I would be keen to learn how to do this modification.

Some info here:

Maybe you should contact the model aeroplane hobby shop and they might have something else ?

Some lithium batteries can supply much higher current than the traditional alkaline type 9V battery. This allows them to power more than one pedal. All you would need to do is find a 9V battery, check its maximum current or power supply rating, see how much each of your pedals use(to determine if appropriate), then somehow wire a centre negative cable/daisy chain on to that.

The thing about lithium poly batteries is that when you make a mistake (eg. overcharge them) they don't just let out magic smoke, they let out magic FLAMES.
(don't try this at home)
