Pedal Power supplies

Hi There all!

So as the years have gone by I've collected a few pedals, probably not as many as most but enough that I feel that they warrant being grouped on a pedal board and fed with a decent isolated power supply (T-rex, Vodoo Labs, etc.)
Unfortunately I cant find one. Anywhere ☹ .
I've looked locally (Durban area) and checked a few South African online dealers (Paul Bothners, Sound Select) but the only place I can find them is overseas such as amazon, ebay and the likes.
So really my question is, where on earth (South Africa really) do I get a decent power supply with out paying through the nose on import and shipping charges! Any help is appreciated, a link, a second hand one? ?

You're not going to be able to find a Voodoo Labs new in South Africa. I forgot where it was but I know someone supplies T-rex in SA, otherwise the BBE supa-charger is quite available here, and has fully isolated outputs. I am busy using a DC brick(also available in SA from MXR) which while not having isolated outputs was far cheaper than anything else and is perfectly quiet for my uses. If you do import one, make sure it runs off 230v.

Where abouts did you get your DC brick from? If I recall correctly one Website wanted to charge around R3000 for it!

I got Marshall Music to order me a T-Rex Fuel Tank Junior. It took about 2 months to get here, but it was definitely worth it. I don't know if there is a Marshall in Durban but I'm sure they can make a plan on Marshall direct or if you phone any of the stores up here.

I bought it secondhand for R1000 ? as far as I know there's a Marshall music in umhlanga.

There is a Marshall music close by, perhaps its worth going down the route of ordering a decent power supply from them ? I guess I'll carry on snooping around gumtree as well! :?

Good luck in finding a second hand one, I was going that route but after a while I just pulled the trigger and bought one. A good power supply is an investment not an accessory.

+1 on the T-Rex Fuel Tank Junior (assuming that you don't have any special considerations). Picked mine for R1250 brand new ay Marshall Music Diep River. The stores have different prices so shop around.

I actually bought a T-REX Fuel Tank Chameleon from Marshall Woodmead this week for R1500
