Met him once (badoof-name drop), for about 13 seconds at one of those acoustic evenings that used to happen somewhere. (Details remain way sketchy.) Still had that long Dan Patlanksy hair and beard/bokkie (anyone else remember it?).
Anyway, the nicest oke you'll ever spend 13 seconds discussing attack technique with. He wasn't playing acoustic that night, and no one was coping, not even a mouse. 'Twas hectic; tone for decades, a beat-up looking Strat and this teeny li'l amp with tweed cloth. Man. Still remember it like it was only 8 years ago.
I agree fully - if I could make a plan to go, and not freeze to death - I'd be there in a heartbeat
