I'm trying out Indiegogo purely as a test for now.

I'm interested to see what happens and interested to find out if anyone else on the forum has tried it out and had any success.

I'll keep the thread up to date with the progress and anything I might learn along the way for those who might want to give it a shot as well.

Thanks, it's more just a test for now, never checked into any of this crowdfunding stuff so it's all new to me.

Hey Mixerboy!

You can also try local crowdfunding through Thundafund. Shifty Records used Thundafund to raise money for their 30th birthday concert held on Heritage Day last year. That's how I got my tickets for the concert, and digital downloads as an incentive.

I had a forum email, that had emails in it and I basically "forwarded" it, hopefully that's not an issue at all, if it is I apologize up front, I didn't really think about it as spam but I guess it is in a way. (my bad)

Ahhh, that's how you did it, grabbed the emails from that forum newsletter. If I hadn't had read this GFSA post this morning I'd have flagged it as spam - it would have be useful to note in the email that Mixerboy = Apollo Combine.
