Guys you gotta check the pics out....

There is a guy on the west rand.I give his son guitar lessons.
As you all know i've been pndering my own build for 2 years and
i asked him to help me with the labour and choosing a shape.

I gave him 3 ideas for shapes coz i couldn't decide on a shape.
Mahogany wood for the body and a neck and all the other small stuff.

Saw my close to finished guitar 2day...Had tears in my eyes.

I seem to recall there was a company who made guitars like this one just to prove the point that looks and Tone are completely different things... let me think... ESP or something like that... ?
Hope it sounds good. What pickups are going in? I'm guessing EMG 81&85?

The styling is very novel. When you design an instrument like this is there thought given to the physical balance of the instrument - how it will hang on a strap? Is there a way of modeling these balances?

Interesting to see how light in tone the mahogany is prior to a finish being applied. I'd thought it was darker and redder than that.

Yes, well done. I would also be interested to know how you arrived at the design. Not for the immediate future but also something that has been floating in the back of my mind for a few weeks is embarking on such a project myself. I have a few boards of mahogany and they are darker and redder than this.

Standard cheap pickups till i can afford EMG's (81/85).

Saw a similar guitar on the net and just tweaked it a bit.
Its a fixed bridge.
Goin drop C on this Baby.

James (Mr. Viney) said it is Mahogany but he thinks it is a
sort of sapele mahogany.

He is the guru....Actually he is a guru with anything to do with
building stuff with your hands.

He's busy building he's second plane.
He said after the plane there is a
Harley Chopper bike on its way.
