Furthermore, I'm looking to buy a telecaster. Anyone got one for sale?

welcome, checked your ad, a japanese tele squier capable.....if you can find one? also keep an eye open for a tokai brezzysound!

The Japanese Fender Teles are really nice. They seem to be consistently good.

Great. Thanks. Seen a few teles on olx. How can I tell a jap tele apart from other squiers? Would it say made in japan or will it relate to a code on the serial number?

The new models says "crafted in Japan" after 87 i think....

Thanks guys. Both the olx ones are gone. Where would I get the best price on a tele locally? Squier I think... unless I'll get a decent genuine one for R10k

COntact TOKAI Guitars on this forum and have a look at the breezysound models. you'd be doing way better than what your aiming at.
