Hi everyone. My name is Peter Hanmer and I've been playing guitar for about thirty years now. I have two bands, (one that's been around for about twenty five years) www.offtheedge.co.za and the other one for about five years . www.clintandco.co.za. I'm a professional muso and have been doing this for about six years now. Gear consists of two Gibson Les Pauls, Fender Strat, various acoustics etc. Amps, all Marshall. Type of music - Melodic Rock. Cheers, Peter.

Hail Peter,

Welcome and have fun we might be a tad scary but still fun to be around ??? :woohoo:

Welcome Peter.. Nice Gear you got there!

Hi Peter, welcome to the board.

Gonna take a listen to the clips now, but the pics look great. I love the blue of both the Strat and the LP.

Hi there Guys,

Thanks for the comments on the gear.

Spyke, only thing about the Strat is about two years ago we were doing a gig at the Soundstage in Midrand and I needed to swop guitars as my LP broke a string. I picked up the Strat but the strap hooked around the guitar stand and it fell out of my hands. Needless to say it's looking a bit "reliced" now. Plenty of dings.

Cheers,

Peter.

Nothing wrong with a natural relic. We've had many debates here as to natural relicing vs artificial - natural is the way to go.

Welcome to the forum, I listened to one of the clips, very smooth.... detect a bit of "Eagles" influence in the instrumental...really cool.
Have fun.

Hey Peter

I see you found this forum months before I did, and you didn't tell me about it? ?

I was told about it by a member over at the Tokai Forum, so I signed up...cool place. nice to talk to SAfrican guys about gear.

Great photos of your guitars, I'm going to be needing you soon to take some photos for me....and of course you'll be adding another guitar to that collection soon. ?

Hey, Sorry Lance,

Thought you knew about it. Just tell me when and where and I'll come and do it.

Cheers,

Peter.

Hi Peter.

Don't know how I missed your intro all those months ago??!

Anyway, for decency's sake, a belated welcome from my side. ?

I read the history and family tree on your site - I love that kind of stuff. Excellent. Great to have someone with your experience on the forum. Perhaps you can add a few threads to our 'Performance' section - road stories, tips and warnings, etc.

Nice to have you here. ?
