I bought the little Ibanez bass guitar new to learn on. ?

The Wasburn was saved from death... head completely snapped off... refitted with bolts and glue. Fishman pick-ups donated by a Cort who died under the wheels of a car.
The Ibanez Concord needed new machine heads (but got old originals) and bridge and a serious clean up and a fresh set of d'Addarios. Still needs new frets...
This guitar played Bob Dylan songs at braais for years (her Man passed away 20 years ago) recently she became a member of my family.

The Tanglewood strat copy arrived it it's case years ago (Nephew from London) looking like it had died in a British soccer riot, gang war, or hooligan punk party.
It was left packed away until I pulled her apart and gave her some new (used stuff) bridge and springs & things now she plays through my little Laney 65W bass practise amp (a BadMonkey distortion pedal to fatten the sound a bit) and sounds... erm...
anyway it looks like a guitar :-[ :?

Aaargh! >☹ It's taken me an hour regster and set up photobucket and load the pics and copy and paste the addresses and it still duzzent work coz I did it wrong.
DuhFiz should stick to painting the front gate instead of posting pics...
(hey I did alright here... I figured out how to use my Daughter's digital camera and even got a few useable pics out of the couple of dozen stupid angles, I did ok in Photoshop but battled with photobucket.) ???
Now I'm getting on my Fazer and heading out for RooiEls and I'll sort out these pics later... sorry 8)

You run a shelter for guitars that are down on their luck? ?

I notice the Bass has a pickup selector, but only one pickup. Is it a dual coil affair like the Musicmans?

The switch has a 3way action (flat/bright) It's a delight to play coz it's not
such a s t r e t c h for the fingers. I do recue guitars and even help ppl find used and abandoned acoustic guitars. I found my son-in-law a well kept Ibanez Concord in a hard case for a few hundred bucks. I battled to find the plastic bridge insert which was fatter than normal (+- 3mm) but now she's a beaut that gets played and loved. 8)

I'm still searching for one for myself. I have my eye on an Epiphone (old dreadnought with bolt on neck) It lives in a hardcase under the owner's bed. He never plays it but is not yet ready to part with it. I'm still working on it... and whitewashing him on his own pool table duzzent help. :'(
